3 Super Fun Volleyball Drills

Volleyball drills are truly a fun to perform but at the same time performing the same drills over and over again can be boring and take the excitement away from the superb sport. This is why we’ve compiled a list of the new top 3 super fun volleyball drills to keep your training exciting and bring more enjoyment in the game. Dead Fish
The ‘Dead Fish’ is a target practice drill which will help players to improve their serving skills. Start by dividing the players into two teams and have the two teams line up behind the end lines of the volleyball court on either side of the net. Now give each player a ball and place a bin full of extra volleyballs near the end line on each side of the court. Use any material or tape particularly to assign certain spots on the court for players to aim for when they serve. The Coach then announces the start of the drill and players of the both the teams start to serve simultaneously.
Now, whenever a player hits the ball out of the court or into the nets he must go and sit to one of the assigned spots on the opposite side of the court, which makes him a “dead fish”. His teammate can only rescue him by hitting the serve at the spot where he is sitting and moreover the “dead fish” has to catch the ball without standing up. The team with the dead fishes at the end of the drill wins.


2 on 6 Drill
The ‘2 on 6 Drill’ may sound or seem to be unfair at first, but its actually a unique and relatively challenging drill. The set of the drill is self understood by heading only i.e., 2 players on one side and 6 players on the other side of the net having a challenge with each other.
This drill is superb fun for those players that are already highly confident in their skills or abilities. So, only two players have the responsibility of the entire half of the court in challenging to opposite six players. This drill will help the players to learn various defensive skills.


The Bird and Bees
This is an energizing drill will help with molding. Get the majority of the players to accomplice up and after that make them lie straight on at the middle line with their feet confronting the end lines. The greater part of the players on one side will be “Feathered creatures” and the players on the other side will be “Honey bees”.
The mentor will them get out the name of one of the groups and that group then pursues the other group to the end of the exercise center as they attempt to catch them.
